About this trip

Tuscany Summer 2024

Tuscany is one of the most beautiful areas in Italy, boasting many famous attractions such as the city of Florence, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, San Gimignano, and of course, incredible nature. The area is full of wineries, rolling hills, charming villages and historical and cultural sites. “There is nowhere like Tuscany. Its beauty is not only physical, but meta-physical. It has inspired the world’s finest artists and architects, composers and singers. No camera can capture its beauty, nor can any author describe it  adequately.

In addition all of our meat is glatt kosher, Lubavitch Shechita and according to the Beit Yosef.

We use only glatt kosher meats and our cheeses and dairy products are all certified chalav yisrael.

All of our wines are certified kosher. Most wines are not mevushal and our service staff are shomrei Shabbat.

Our highly trained staff are well-versed in halacha and check every aspect of kashrut. Our “open-kitchen” policy means that you can feel comfortable in the knowledge that everything is 100% kosher and that nothing is hidden.

his tour follows the Serchio river, where it takes its natural landscape, the bed broken by the water jumps, the bushy terraces with many varieties of birds.

The path above the city walls offers a breathtaking view.

It all started in 2010 when a group of friends sat together on a Friday night enjoying a delicious Shabbat meal, with lots of talking and laughter. It was springtime and just the right season to travel to Tuscany. We all shared our desire to travel to Italy and eat kosher, we longed to enjoy the gorgeous rolling Tuscan hills, the scent of the Italian cypress trees under the warm Mediterranean sun, and above all, we dreamt of experiencing the exquisite local cuisine, while keeping it kosher.

Trip of a lifetime (with minor glitches). Tuscany is gorgeous, food was amazing, guides excellent and informed. Where else can a gal from Brooklyn go on a truffle hunt??? Kosher fare was outstanding, and villa surroundings enhanced the stay. Unfortunately, our host, Avicam, also took a wedding upon himself to deal with, and was too often MIA...which was frustrating. Aside from this, thumbs up!

We were a group of 6 women who joined the KCT in Tuscany. Gorgeous, spacious villa with breathtaking views of the mountains and countryside surrounding us. The food was fabulous and outings diverse, informative and so much fun. Staff, drivers and guides were knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly. Wonderful trip which I highly recommend.

Fabulous! Tuscany has always been on my bucket list. To celebrate my milestone birthday, I got 5 relatives/friends to join me on a one-week girls' trip. It was a dream vacation in a picture-perfect location in Tuscany. The villa, the food and wine, the excursions were all next-level. We had to keep pinching ourselves to make sure it was real. We are all seasoned travelers - all agreed that it may have been the best trip we'd ever taken. Highly recommend.

Deeply Disappointed by KCT Passover Program in Greece (April 2024) I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with the KCT Passover Program in Greece, which was a complete disappointment and misrepresentation from start to finish Accommodations were misrepresented: • I paid $400 extra for a sea view room (704) and received a room with no sea view. • Family rooms (959 & 960) that were supposed to be adjacent and suitable for small children were not. • After repeated complaints, we were moved to different rooms (855, 854, 853) far from my elderly parents, disrupting our family vacation. • These replacement rooms were in an unprepared area of the resort—phones didn’t work, so we couldn’t reach hotel services. • Poor lighting on walkways created dangerous conditions. My niece tripped in a gutter, and walking with kids at night was unsafe. Despite multiple reports, nothing was addressed. Transportation was subpar and unsafe: • The “luxury coach with snacks” was a standard bus—no snacks. • On the return trip, buses were overloaded with luggage and strollers blocking aisles, making a 5-hour ride hazardous and uncomfortable. Dining was far below advertised “exquisite glatt kosher cuisine”: • Food was often substandard or unavailable during the first days: • On arrival, the Thalassa restaurant had no food despite advertised hours. • Friday night dinner (April 11) was nearly inedible—over-salted soup and cold, sparse main courses. • On the second night, nothing was served appropriate for children until 10pm—when I asked, all I was offered were bananas. Promised kids’ meals on April 12 never materialized. Food was brought out and then taken away before serving. • The “star chef” only arrived halfway through the program—quality improved only after her arrival. There was also a scene at lunch of the second day of chag where the masgiach came out of the kitchen shouting that we should stop eating because the food was not Kosher for Passover and holding a box of something. A brawl nearly ensued which was disturbing and we left after that. Program features were also misleading: • The kids’ day camp lacked basic safety: no sign-in/out system at the beginning and unclear policies until I complained made it unusable for my family. • We were told the entire resort was dedicated to the program. In reality, it was shared with a large military group—totally different atmosphere. • Our Seder, promised to be quiet, was so noisy we couldn’t hear each other speak. • Guests (including us) who paid for the Zakynthos Island tour were forgotten and not taken on the boat ride. This experience was incredibly disappointing and far below what was promised or paid for. I cannot recommend this program and strongly urge others to be cautious before booking.

There was a tremendous amount of travel time on this trip. The island was very nice and the blue caves were spectacular.
